Send a question
Before consultation

What to bring

  • Current medicines and allergies
  • Previous eye reports, scans and operation notes
  • Old photographs if the appearance has changed
  • A list of symptoms, duration and previous treatment
  • Questions about function, appearance, recovery and risks
Confirm the plan
Before surgery

Confirm the plan

Do not stop prescribed blood thinners without approval. Confirm fasting, medicines, transport, time off work and who to contact after hours. Report fever, infection or a new health problem before the procedure.

After surgery

Common recovery and warning signs

Bruising, swelling, tightness and mild irritation are common after many procedures. Severe pain, sudden visual reduction, a rapidly tense swelling, heavy bleeding, fever or worsening double vision are not routine and need urgent review.
